Andy's Blog – C++ has its static libraries and Delphi doesn’t have an exact equivalent. The nearest thing in Delphi is a *.dcp file. But there is a major difference between those two. A *.dcp file only contains bpl import stubs with meta data whereas a static library consists of one or multiple object files that contain the full code or dll import stubs.
