Snake game: when programming isn't compatible with modern theories

Compas Pascal – I saw a question about how to create a snake game "like on the Nokia mobile phones". The answers differed a lot from each other - but few talked objects (OOP). The general consensus was that the snake should be represented as a double-linked list, linked using pointers. The first time that I saw the game, was on my brother's computer.
