Delphi: Community Edition (A Proposal)

Te Waka o Delphi – The time has come, the Walrus said, to talk of many things.  Of shoes, and ships, and sealing-wax.  Of cabbages, and kings.  And why the sea is boiling hot, and whether pigs have wings. And why the cheapest version of Delphi costs a new user as much as a pretty reasonable second-hand car.  Why even ...

EurekaLog Blog – The subject is actually speaks for itself. I want to discuss the idea of using FreeAndNil everywhere instead of Free. Give proper arguments to this idea and consider, how EL fits here too.

The slow Code Insight could be much faster

Andy's Blog – If you have medium to large size projects with thousands of units, you either curse Code Insight every time it tries to pop up or you have disabled it because you can’t stand the time it takes to pop up. For small projects Code Insight is fast, but the more units you have the slower it becomes ...

Time to bury this “Is Delphi Dying” nonsense

Jamie's Blog – Every 3-6 months or, more frequently it seems, someone has the urge to post some attention grabbing headline such as "Is Delphi Dying" or "Is Delphi a Dead language?" (yes, even unintentionally negative headlines hurt). It recently even despicably overflowed on StackOverflow. Enough is enough, I ...
